The Tab’s Jonny Buck on the BUCS liveblog.

 18.00

‘Huge win’ for the Squash 2s who beat Southampton 1s to move into the final of the cup.

17.40

As if you needed more entertainment on a Wednesday afternoon, check out EURL’s take on the Harlem Shake (watch top right).

17.25

EUWRFC continue their great run of form with a 32-7 defeat of Edinburgh. Thats got to be one of the worst journeys home ever. Reminds me of one Ben Sully…

EULHC 1s cruised through to the semis of their BUCS championship with a 7-0 win over Bath, whilst the 3s got through to the finals of their competition.

Both EUTC 2s teams both won 12-0. No idea what that means but i’m presuming its impressive. I’m glad i do this blog at Exeter, we seem to win a lot.

17.15

EULC have checked in with this; ‘A grim day saw men’s 1s go down 10-5 up at Loughborough, and 2s suffer a close 10-9 defeat, despite an admirable comeback’.

17.05

EUGC 1s rack up an 8-1 total over Plymouth to progress through to the National Semi-Finals of their BUCS competition. Golf team on a great run of form at the moment.

17.00

Unfortunately, the EUMHC 1s lost 3-0 to Nottingham in the quarters of the BUCS championship, in what was ultimately a very difficult game for this young side.

In brighter news, this just in from Matt Mcdonald, reporting on the 1s vs 2s EURL friendly; ‘I got my first nosebleed ever, and then we had a love-in and made a Harlem Shake video’. Standard Wednesday afternoon then.

Exeter Surf Club 3s won 78-76 in tough conditions in a ‘solid effort’. Got to admire the bravery from those boys surfing in this weather.

Finally, EURFC fresh 1s won easily 43-5 against Plymouth 1s, in what George Kimmins described as a ‘top performance from the lads’.

16.30

Right, EUAFC (thats football by the way) 1s lost 2-1 against Gloucestershire, Matt Langley grabbing the consolation goal there, whilst the 4s win 5-0 against Southampton Solent ‘university’, Jon Carter grabbing a hat-trick in that one

On the other end of the sporting spectrum, EULC mens 1s are losing 9-1 up at Loughborough and have now resorted to the ‘at least we’re Times university of the year’, not sure how to judge that ?

16.10

Half Time at the Hockey, and the score stands at 0-0, and my man on the ground has described as ‘intense’, but ‘cold’… which I’m assuming means he’s going to leave soon and then i’ll be stuffed. excellent.

16.00

The EULC mens 1s are suffering up at Loughborough, currently losing 6-1

15.30

Some scores to bring you already, EUMHC 4s took on Bath 2s  in their BUCS conference cup semi final, and won 5-3 on penalties on what was in all honesty a thrilling game, even if i was following it via twitter…

In other news, EULC mens 1s are currently 3-1 down to Loughborough in their championship semi final, Nick Henderson-Williams with an early ‘stunner’ down at Duckes.

Finally, a big game for EUMHC 1s just ‘pushed back’ (does that sound right?)as they take on Nottingham in their BUCS championship quarter finals. You know its a big game when they do a fancy poster and facebook event for it.

Good afternoon all, and welcome back to another Green Machine bringing you all the action from the BUCS games today.

On the cards today, we have massive BUCS quarter finals for EUMHC 1s against Nottingham, and for EUNC away at Leeds Met, whilst EULC, EULHC, and EUAFC are also in action.
