Tomorrow at noon, the Vic pub on Victoria street will open its doors for the traditional ‘Drink the Vic Dry ‘ Event.

The Vic is the local pub to hundreds of students in Exeter and the event has already got over 600 people who have confirmed their attendance on Facebook.

At the end of every term the Vic holds this event, and the manager of the Vic spoke to the Tab to tell us why it is so popular.

“Drink the Vic dry has been run since 1972 and is cracking end of term get together before people depart home for the holidays. I think it’s popular because there is lots of tradition and history around it, and it’s also a very relaxed and sociable day. A great example of students rallying together to support their local pub, proving they can drink in a mature and responsible manner, and have a whole heap of fun in the process.”

It’s also set to be a cheap event, with pints at just £2.25 and Pizzas 2-4-1 all day.
