In just seven days over a hundred of you have got in touch with us, nominating the names that you think are worthy of the title of ‘BNOC’ (big name on campus) of the year.

The Tab has narrowed down the nominations to a top twenty, and we are leaving it up to you guys to decide who is worthy of this prestigious accolade.

The voting is split into four groups of five BNOCs. The winner of each will reach the final, where one will be crowned BNOC of the year. If you missed the criteria for voting, click here.

Here are your first 5 names, you can vote at the bottom…

Joe Batten

As an ex committee member of dance and lacrosse club, Batten won the position for AU president with ease. His gentlemanly charm and feverish good looks mean that he is always being smiled at on campus by those that love him and those that envy him. Joe Batten, a man of the people.

Brad Vanstone

Big Brad on Campus: Despite seeming to spend the majority of his time hitch-hiking around eastern Europe,  Brad remains a seemingly enormous deal. While you shameless TP whores may not recognise him from those Wednesday nights we know and love, you may know him as the runner of Exit, the sell-out night that alternates with Thick as Thieves in Cellar Door. Having moonlighted in a semi-successful band in 1st and 2nd year, this Politics student also runs clothing brand Phickle, promoted Brand Brad through the medium of clothing wear like all the other big names, P Diddy and David Beckham to name but two. And if you STILL don’t know who he is, ask your female house-mates. He will have slept with one of them. Guaranteed.

Hugh Blackstaffe

Known predominantly as the face on top of the pink shirt, you probably inadvertently rubbed your body all over Hugh Blackstaffe in the Timepiece queue this freshers week. Otherwise ubiquitous through his appearances on XTV, third year Film student Hugh has possibly the biggest smile on campus. A natural choice.

Will May

Big Willie Style – if you haven’t seen the blazer-clad EURFC vice-captain worming on your missus in Timepiece, you may recognise him on campus sporting two or more items of stash plus his Loose Moose cap (as the new steward of the EX4 blowout). Spent the summer underground mining in Australia…but couldn’t be more above the surface in Exeter. Readers of Her Campus may also know him as one of their most recent Campus Cuties…somehow.

Alicia Wedderburn-Graham (Left)

Alicia is the Social Sec for Cheerleading and Gymnastics and has the loudest voice in history. She regularly gets recognised on Campus as “that well loud Cheerleader”, gets drunk every Wednesday to bust a move on top floor of Timepiece, and always has gossip on a member of the football team. Everyone recognises her, you feel like a celeb on campus when you are with her.
