Lindsay Smith needs your votes for Beach Break!
It seems Exeter University’s Got Talent.
As well as Hannah Berney storming The Voice, fellow Exeter Uni student Lindsay Smith has been singing her way to success.
The past two months have been a complete whirlwind for singer songwriter Lindsay Smith, who lists her musical influences as KT Tunstall, Fleetwood Mac, Florence and the Machine and Katy Perry.
Last month she was signed to Daylight Music Productions (DMP) who are focused on supporting young talented musicians.
She’s releasing an EP with two fantastic brand new tacks: ‘Cry Wolf’ and ‘Everywhere’, which she recorded in the studio over Easter. As a result, Lindsay is currently working hard on promotion, artwork and production -she wants to be as hands on as possible.
On top of all this (as well as exams!) she is taking part in the Mama Stones Showcase on the 18th June, which is £5 to get in. She will be performing her two brand new tracks as part of a half hour set of original music. The event’s Facebook page is here.
Over summer, Lindsay is booked to do several other gigs and is signed to several music agencies. However, she hopes to get one gig in particular…but she needs your help!
Lindsay is through to the public vote to play the Dell Main Stage at this year’s Beach Break Festival. She needs as many votes as possible in order to get through, so please follow the link and vote for Lindsay Smith! It will only take a few seconds.
Lindsay shared with us why it is that she wants to play at Beach Break so much: “It's a fantastic opportunity to play at a great festival. Beats and Bass have a stage, so it would spread the Exeter love on other stages!!”
Lindsay is in her second year, reading English Literature and comes from Derbyshire. Fellow Exeter Geography Student, Will Bryan plays guitar on her EP and often supports her live. He will form part of her band, alongside top musicians Bobby Eccles and Adam DT, and their drummer Matthew Gardener is also their record producer.
And don't forget you can buy your BBL tickets from Exeter Drop here!
Let’s keep up Exeter’s success by showing support for our risings stars: vote for Lindsay Smith to perform at Beach Break!
