‘Thanks for bringing our bevy home’: EUSA returns Tennent’s to Teviot

I’ll drink to that

Rejoice, rejoice! EUSA have reversed their decision to discontinue Tennent's in Teviot bars and are bringing the beer back this Saturday.

The decision comes following an emotional plea from hundreds of students who signed an online petition begging for Tennent's to return to its rightful home.

Iain Wallace, the original outraged fourth year, started the petition a week ago and it gathered around 470 supporters.

Iain is absolutely thrilled following the change of heart from EUSA. His petition victory message reads: "It's happening! Tennent's in officially being brought back to Teviot on Saturday!

"Thank you everyone for supporting this great cause and making this possible. Because of us the juicy boy will be back where it belongs. I'm over the moon, thank you for bringing our bevy home."

Oh happy DAY

Iain told The Edinburgh Tab: "Honestly I can't believe the responses I've had from everyone, and would like to thank everyone for signing the petition. I can't believe that this has all happened so fast."

Iain will be celebrating the win this weekend for sure

EUSA president Andrew Wilson posted on Facebook: "It's been the issue that has divided us. It has received national coverage. But I can now confirm that #Tennent'sReturns to Teviot this Saturday!"

Andrew told The Edinburgh Tab: "The decision to remove Tennent’s was because of supplier and pricing issues. Given the overwhelming demand from our members, we managed to renegotiate this and now everybody can enjoy a pint of Tennent’s at £3 from this Saturday at Teviot!"

Congratulations Iain and to all the Tennent's fans. Cheers.
