Don’t panic, but a COCKTAIL FOREST is coming to Edinburgh this October

Instagram isn’t ready for this

| UPDATED

It may only be June but we’re already excited for Edinburgh Cocktail Week which is set to run from the 14th-20th of October this year. Plans for the annual festival have just been announced and entail everything from – wait for it – a cocktail forest in the Festival Square, to rooftop cocktail domes on top of The Glasshouse Hotel beside the Omni Centre. Instagram won't know what hit it.

The Cocktail Village in the Festival Square takes a mythical, fairy-tale theme this year, and is set to feature 19 pop-up bars with live music and entertainment. Decor is said to consist of wigwams, firepits, a forest floor and canopy, picnic tables, and even giant toadstools to perch on whilst sipping one of the hundreds of discounted cocktails on offer. Can we fast-forward to Autumn please?

The Glasshouse Hotel rooftop garden in the East End will be taken over by glass domes kitted out with fairy lights, cushions, and blankets, with each designed to fit 8-10 people. Guests will be able to admire Edi’s beaut sunsets in style with access to a bespoke cocktail menu featuring drinks as cheap as £4. Literally take our money now.

Access to both venues is free once you have purchased a wristband, which you can do following this link. It costs just £6 for a Monday-Friday wristband, £8 for a weekend wristband, and £13.50 for a week-long wristband.
