Still reeling from the strikes? Here’s how to apply for £250 compensation from the University of Edinburgh

All you need to do is fill out this form

The University of Edinburgh is still accepting applications for the Student Opportunity Fund, a system set up to financially support students affected by the UCU strike action earlier in the year.

You can apply for up to £250 compensation, provided you specify exactly how many contact hours you lost, and what "learning opportunity" you intend to spend the grant money on.

The application form will remain open either until all the money allocated to the scheme has been spent, or until the 31st June 2019 – and the University reassures us that in the event that there is still money left next summer, it will be re-invested into "student experience funds" for the benefit of the wider university community.
