The Pear Tree has finally reopened and is now serving food

It has been well worth the wait

A more than popular hang out for the student community, as well as many of Edinburgh's locals has finally reopened, after being closed since January.

We have all been waiting for this for a very long time, missing the Pear Tree ever so dearly, having to settle for somewhere different when wanting to go to the pub. It was a tough experience for all, not being able to go to the Pear Tree straight after the last of our summer exams in order to see off the end of another year.

The exterior of the pub has remained rather similar to what it was, but inside there have been some striking changes in terms of its decor, adding a newly revamped seating area with plenty of comfy new seats, some beautiful exposed stone walls, and even the toilets are excitingly new. Word is that the music has changed in its tone, creating a more lounge-like feel to the establishment as well; very trendy indeed.

As well as some of the obvious interior changes, the pub has now instated a full food menu, offering a massive range of different foods, with pub classics like pies, burgers and steaks, as well as lighter bites and sandwiches being an option. It sounds like this is going to be one of the go to places when people are after a bite to eat in the middle of a uni day.

The Pear Tree is looking fantastic with all of its new changes, and it has been well worth the wait. Of course, some things never change and you will still find Blue Moon on draft here, so don't worry about that, the slices of orange are thicker than ever.
