From 20 March, the Main Library in George Square will be open 24 hours a day. The lower ground, ground and first floors will be available for use throughout the night, whilst the upper floors will continue to reopen at 7:30 the following morning.

With the library remaining permanently open, the Hugh Robson building, which was previously open all through the night, will now close at 10pm and reopen at 7:30am.

No need to come here anymore

EUSA President, Alec Edgecliffe-Johnson, said of the change: “We’ve campaigned for this for over a year, and worked alongside the University to make it happen. It is a tremendous development for the student body and we’re delighted that it will begin before the May exam diet.”
