EUSA helps bring in new student discount bus ticket

It saves students £135 a year

Lothian Buses have introduced a new student annual pass that covers the nine month university period rather than the whole year.

The new ticket saves students from paying for three months of travel in the summer months when they’re unlikely to be in Edinburgh.

For students buying the new discounted nine month bus pass, they will save £135 per year.

New EUSA President, Alec Edgecliffe-Johnson, commented: “The Students’ Association is extremely pleased with the result.

“It’s a significant step toward lowering the financial burden of transportation for thousands of students at the University of Edinburgh’s campuses throughout the city, and will particularly help those students living and studying outside of the Central area.”
