It’s official: Edinburgh’s voting Tory tomorrow

Apparently Daddy’s tax is more important than universal education

Edinburgh is voting Tory tomorrow — in a revelation shocking absolutely nobody.

The results from our General Election survey came back and suggest 33 per cent of us are going to vote for another term of David Cameron.

The posho Conservatives are storming ahead of the SNP, who have 25 per cent of the vote, and Labour, who have 24.

The Conservatives’ popularity is echoed across most years at uni, except for the fourth years, where Labour and the SNP are the most popular.

The Tories are also the favourite party for snooty freshers and third years.

But honestly, with so many yahs at this uni, who’s surprised?

Labour were the most popular party for second years, which suggests living in Marchmont teaches you much more about the real world than Pollock ever will.

And Nicola Sturgeon’s tartan army triumphed among post grads, attaining 40 per cent of the votes.

The poor Greens and Lib Dems only received five per cent and three per cent of the vote.

More gratifyingly, UKIP only got one per cent of the vote while double this amount is choosing not to vote at all.

It seems Edinburgh is voting exactly how you’d expect Edinburgh to vote.

Apparently Daddy not being taxed is more important than feeding poor children. Figures.

Don’t forget to vote.
