How much does your lecturer get paid?

Bloody economists

There is a massive pay gap at Edinburgh departments as profs in the Economics department rake in an average of £68,854 compared to those in Biological Sciences who scrape £42,364.

The highest paid teachers earn an average of £27,000 more than the lowest — meaning the average pay packet is £48,973 a year.

Laughing staff in the Economics, Business and Clinical Sciences departments earn the most, all pocketing over £50,000.

And the unfortunates in the School of Informatics, Royal Vet Studies and Biological Sciences earn just over £42,364, according to new stats released by the uni.
