Edinburgh crazy coders win global competition

Two Edinburgh students have won a coding competition in Bombay and scooped £6.5k in the process. 

Flirty Computer Scientists Marijonas Petrauskas and Karolis Greblikas, have proved themselves the best in the world beating over 49,000 other teams in an hotly contested 6 hour final.

The naughty coders beat off nine Indian teams, two UK teams, two Peruvian teams, one Canadian team and one USA team.

The competition, Codevita, is run by Tata Consultancy Services one of the largest Indian firms and the 30 finalists will be offered an internship with the gigantic firm.

Natarajan Chandrasekaran, Tata’s Chief, said, “Global Competitions like TCS CodeVita help us engage with young students from across the world in a very inter-active and engaging manner.”
