Tab Tries: Studying at the Big Cheese
Things got messy
At uni, it can sometimes be difficult to balance your social life and studying.
We decided to try and do both. So to kill some time and get some work in, I decided to bring my textbook to Big Cheese.
People seemed really excited to learn about management science.
It was when we started buying drinks that things got messy.
Having my textbook with me definitely attracted some attention.
Suddenly everyone re-found that passion for learning that they lost after freshers.
If ever I was studying by myself…
I was soon surrounded by new friends.
Sad times rolled around though, when the cover page of my textbook ripped off.
Things only went downhill for my book (and my studying plans) from there.
My textbook was the best thing on the dance floor since sliced bread.
I started to reconsider my decision…
Especially when a very wise drunkard said to me, “why the fuck do you have your textbook with you?”
The same people that haven’t made a nine am tutorial since the birth of jesus christ, were more interested in learning about a SWOT analysis than they were about that Lion King song.
By this time my book was in more than several pieces.
A couple of VKs (orange flavour, of course) and some snakebites later, my book was gone.
You all owe me £70 so I can buy a new textbook.
But actually though, my mother’s gonna kill me.
As far as recommendations go, it depends where your priorities are.
If you actually want to study and have a nice clean textbook by the end of the night, I would NOT recommend trying to study at the Big Cheese.
However, if you want to have a night that you’ll never forget trying to remember, make tons of new friends, and even add your RA on snapchat, then I would definitely recommend bringing your books to the Big Cheese.
