We asked what’s the worst meal you’ve had at uni

‘The JMCC meatballs gave me the shits’

We took to the streets around George Square to discover what you had to stomach in halls.

The answers included haggis, meatballs and stew.

For those of you who’ve lived in Pollock, as well as the legendary pantry parties, you had to put up with food from the JMCC for a whole year.

Sophie, first year, Architecture

She’s so hungry she’s about to eat that book

“As a vegetarian the food gets a bit boring as it all tastes the same.”

“But the hot chocolate is excellent.”

Keira, second year, International Relations

She’s smiling but she’s dying on the inside

“The food is just generally bad. All I ate was potato and cucumber for a year.”

Bethan, second year, French and English Lit

At least the coke is good quality

“The only good thing was the unlimited drinks – I used to have diet coke for breakfast.”

Els, first year, Economics

Luckily she hadn’t eaten haggis before this pic was taken

“Anything stewed is usually best avoided, no one actually knows what’s in them.”

“The worst meal I’ve had was the haggis.”

Miranda, second year, French and Spanish

smiling through the pain

“The JMCC meatballs gave me the shits.”

Freshers – you’ve been warned.
