It’s bananas: Chancellor’s Court fined £168 for banana stain

You would think some simple soap would clean a banana smear.

Residents of Chancellor’s Court were left outraged after being fined a £168 over a banana.

The freshers living there were communally charged for banana being smeared on the corridor carpet.

Daisy who lives on the third floor was bemused: “What was the carpet made of?! Gold leaf?”

Not an ‘appeeling’ sight for the residents

Another fresher, Lucy Martin, was also shocked by the fine:

“This is outrageous. We were just trying to be healthy.”

Other fines included replacement fees for broken door hinges, stolen door signs and fire extinguishers being activated.

Each resident was charged £3.42 for the month to cover the totally bananas fine.
