Described on Trip Advisor as ‘magical and whimsical’, Arthur’s Seat provides the perfect romantic walk for a blossoming relationship, with a beautiful panoramic view of the city. 2. Nandos
Though many may initially disagree with this making it onto the list, Nandos is a classic student haunt and with there being two in close proximity to the uni areas, always a safe bet. See how your date can take the heat with a cheeky came of wing roulette!
3. Voodoo Rooms
Ok, if Nandos isn’t to your taste, class it up a bit with the Voodoo Rooms. Perfect place to grab a few heavily alcoholic cocktails to make the first date run more smoothly.

8. Portobello Beach
Another actually legitimate place to take a potential partner on a date. Obviously it’s not the place you’re going to see your crush in their swimming stuff because it’s blood freezing, but still on a sunny day it’s a great place for walking and talking.
9. Peter’s Yard
As it is so close to uni it’s a great place to stage a mini date in between lectures or after a seminar, plus great coffee.
10. Anywhere but Teviot.
No. No. NO. There are so many other great places in Edinburgh, so just don’t do it, don’t take them to the union.
