Blacked up students called to order
Law Soc students who ‘blacked up’ as Somalian pirates are called to reveal themselves.
Eleri BoyesenThe students who ‘blacked up’ last week for Law Soc’s annual Beerienteering have been asked to come forward.
An email was sent today to all students in the Law School asking the culprits to provide their names to Professor Lesley McAra, the Head of School.
The email asks that the Somalian pirate wannabes “attend a meeting in the Head of School’s office tomorrow (Tuesday November 19) at 1 pm.” and that “Prior to this meeting, they should reflect on the standards of behaviour which we expect of students and what they can now do to make amends.”
Professor McAra also states that Edinburgh Uni should treat everyone “with dignity and respect.”
