Edinburgh’s Ultimate Hero Revealed!

A 192 mile hike? Setting up a donation point for Syria? or developing sustainable education in Ghana? Check out whose charitable efforts were recognised as the most impressive.

After a week of polling, our university’s charity champion has been crowned! As it turns out, James Turing’s efforts were recognised as the most impressive, outpacing the competition with a 16 point difference. The final tally for the top three heroes was as follows:

1. James Turing: 39%
2. Calum Hervieu: 23%
3. Lauren Pyott 15%

Edinburgh’s Ultimate Hero.

Although we would like to restate that The Tab considers all six individuals to be genuine heroes of our university, an extra thank you goes out to James Turing whose efforts in setting up the Turing Trust to help support sustainable education in Ghana has clearly captured the imagination of his Edinburgh peers.

For our part, we will award James with £20 to be spent on his projects, and would like to remind everyone to check out the Turing Trust online, and to get involved in any way possible next semester!
