Lauren BondFirst the Google Docs experienced a phishing attack, and now WhatsApp breaking down globally- today has been rough for the internet. If you try to use WhatsApp for web, for instance, you’ll receive a “Trying to reach phone” message, but never ever get connected.
Problems with the app surged over the last hour, according to the website Down Detector, and panic ensued. The Perplexed users turned to Twitter for massive rants, and the issue became a Trending Topic very quickly.
A WhatsApp spokesperson has revelead to Reuters that the company is working on fixing the issue- yet no further explanation was provided.
