Former DURFC captain named in England squad

Josh now plays for Sale Sharks

A former DURFC captain has been named in 45-man Elite England squad as they begin their preparation for the Old Mutual Wealth Series against South Africa, Fiji, Argentina and Australia later this year.

Josh Beaumont was also included among the 37 players who will attend a three-day training camp in Brighton from October 2-4.

England head coach Eddie Jones said: “The Old Mutual Wealth Series will be a big challenge and the players will need to step up to the mark.”

Josh was part of the Durham 1st XV who won BUCS in 2013 after beating Cardiff Met 26-17.

Here is their legendary interview with The Tab Durham.
