The people have spoken – Mary’s fresher Lena Brandstrom has been declared this year’s fittest fresher.
With over 30% of the student vote, Lena romped to a resounding victory over her closest rival – Micol Borsani.
Although Lena is taken, she admitted to be a heartbreaker and is guilty of crying to marriage proposals. The Anthropology fresher, from Harrogate, said her favourite chat-up line was “If I were a bogey, I’d pick you.”
After being declared winner she told The Tab: “I’m sorry that people are so jealous of me, but I can’t help that I’m popular.”
With thousands of votes each, the nominees showed the sheer beauty of Durham’s female fresher contingent. The dominant Italians were nudged out however by the blonde Yorkshirewoman who said that in partner’s she looks for a “personality.”
