Massive disruption after Uni Wifi goes down following attack

It’s a nationwide assault on our procrastination

University wifi networks are suffering issues this morning following a nationwide attack on JANET an academic computer network.

Both DU Student and Eduroam are not fully functional causing disruption to many student’s work.

While the Wifi has not be fully down for the whole of the morning, there has been intermittent periods where it has not been working suggesting that it is an ongoing attack.

Reports suggest this is part of an ongoing nationwide DDOS attack on the publicly funded academic computer network JANET, with Manchester also reporting issues.

Hatfield Chemistry Third Year, Brogan Lear told The Tab:

“At least now I have a legitimate excuse to be sat in Bill Bryson achieving nothing”

JANET claims to be the fastest computer network in the world: someone’s calling bullshit on that.
