Grey second year rows over 200,000m in 24 hours

Guess what he hasn’t stopped talking about?

Chemistry second year Tom “Foxy” Fox rowed more than 200,000m over a period of 24 hours last weekend to raise funds for his college boat club.
Tom spent his summer vacation preparing for the challenge, dealing with agonising blisters and overnight rows with Klute’s Spotify playlist as a motivational backing track. He described the ordeal as “surreal.”

Tom’s ranked his personal highlight as: “Sprinting the last 500m of my minimum 200,000m target to Macklemore and crossing the finish line at the end of 24 hours.” The rest of Grey’s squad were there for the end seeing him off in style despite having to endure Bo Burnham’s songs while feeling sick.

‘Legends of a support crew’

Things didn’t get better for Tom: “We intended to celebrate with a classic Klute Sunday, but it was too full and we ended up getting pissed on by a smashed fresher in the queue.”

From now on Tom will focus on breaking the 24 hour world record and attempting a cross-Atlantic row.
