Shaking Up Mondays: Monk’s back at Shack with 346

346 Monday returns to Shack for a one off charity event

Mondays are tough; and in Durham Monday nights are worse. But the tried and tested pairing of Loveshack and Monk are looking to change that.

The group behind Loveshack Wednesday have teamed up to create a charity event (with some urban/chart beats thrown in).

Like this but on a Monday

James Middleton, a Monk organiser, said: “The night is really to support and give recognition to the people that have helped not just with Euan Coulthard but with the other two students who went missing in the past 14 months.

The charity is Royal Life Saving Society, an organization that Euan’s family and St Mary’s College have requested.”

With Loveshack taking a large cut of the Wednesday night, Monk hopes that this will raise more money than one of their more famous nights could.

James continued: “346 was huge last year and we thought that we would give the people what they want. It’s a night where Darts and Rugby socials can come down – or just anyone who wants a change of scene to Paradise Disco.”

The music is a bit of a switch-up from Wednesday standards: no longer will the most ghetto track be Ignition by R Kelly. A more hip-hop vibe and urban feel with just a few classics whacked in along the way.

These guys look like a terrible boyband

Promising a perfect alternative to the grim reality of the beginning of the week, 346 opens its doors tonight.
