Player of the Week: Mary Carson
Our sporting spotlight is on Northern Irish Netball star Mary Carson this week. She’s still in the up and has plenty to play for this season after a busy summer at the World Championships. We caught up with her just before another big Wednesday for Durham BUCS sport.

How long have been tossing balls around? I have played at school and club level for the last 8 years and international level for the last 5 years.
What’s your greatest sporting achievement? Representing Northern Ireland at the World Championships in August 2013.
How would you describe netball to an American? It’s fast, smart and physical.
Best Netball memory? It has to be beating Leeds University in last year’s BUCS league or receiving Player of the Tournament at the 2011 European Championships.
Top on your Durham bucket list? To do a full 16 college bar crawl.
