TabTV Exclusive: The Invincibles
TabTV goes behind the scenes into the England changing room at Twickenham to catch up with the Palatinate XV in the minutes after their BUCS Final victory.
It was a glorious moment. A vindication of the disappointment of the previous year, a rousing victory in bitter cold and the conclusion of an epic season. The Durham University 1st XV became BUCS Champions and completed an unbeaten season at Twickenham on Sunday by beating UWIC (Cardiff Met) 26 – 17.
In the minutes and hours after the match there were moments of reflection, disbelief and pure unadulterated happiness – TabTV was there to see it all. Unfortunately we can’t show you all the footage because it all got pretty rowdy. But we’ve put together a few of our best bits featuring Fred Stonell’s left foot, a singer known as ‘fathead’ and a (pretty big) boy who celebrated his entry into manhood by captaining ‘The Invincibles’ to immortality.
