Skream takes on a warehouse party in Newcastle

What: Warehouse Party
Where: 34 Hoults Yard, Newcastle
When: Saturday 9th March, 10.30pm-5am
Who: Skream, Mele, Joonipah

If you are feeling a bit under the pressure with essays, dissertations or the business end of the Soccerena season, how better to blow it off than head to Newcastle to listen to the original dubstep producer Skream. Situated in a warehouse in Newcastle, with the speakers installed from Outlook festival, it promises to be the biggest party of the term. With the buzz building in Newcastle, we at the Tab thought we would preview the night and start stirring up some Durham support.

Skream really doesn’t need an introduction, and has been selling out venues all over the country, so here is a chance to see the man in action close to home. As you can hear from the mix above, Skream’s music has moved towards the Bass/House sound and is sounding fresh. He is joined by Mele, who is tipped as one of Timeout Magazine’s ‘DJ Stars Of 2012’, the hype surrounding Liverpool’s Melé keeps on growing. At just 20, he is already recognised as an established producer with a series of releases that have got both artists and critics hungry for more. Check out his set at the Notting Hill Carnival in August:

Tickets to see industry heavyweight Skream, and rising talent Mele are £15 and can be bought from
