Castle unable to keep out Collingwood C

A Halloween Horror Show for Castle B as they are tormented by Bloody Collingwood C

| UPDATED

An icy, blustery Halloween saw Collingwood and Castle meet for the second time this week. This rearranged game was due to a castle member incurring a broken finger early on in the previous match. The temperature may have been low but the tensions were high.

The Collingwood side showed up with noticeable VPLs (visible panty lines) causing Abby Hannah to point out that “nobody wears a thong for netball” followed by Charlotte Kay’s exclamation “I might actually shit myself on this court”. Nobody was safe.

Both sides were short of their regular shooters, leaving their defences to step up to the mark. Fingers were crossed this wouldn’t be a hoopless performance.

Castle won the toss, but Claudia Light brings CCNC an early first goal. UCNC incurred yet another finger injury at the end of a knuckle biting first quarter, but this didn’t bring the spirits down and the claws were out.

Georgia Smith of CCNC incurs extreme damage to her brand-new Adidas leggings, claiming she was tripped on court. Drama built as she admitted blame to the previously spoken finger incident. Would anyone survive?

The second half showed that both sides were ready to fight for victory. Jess Callaghan’s paused to comment of the game. “The court was awash with good snatches, but the game was lacking penetration from those usually most accustomed to converting”.

UCNC’s Eva Davies-Tsagkadakis was interesting by name and nature as she changed positions four times throughout the match. These talented tactics baffled CCNC who heckled “she thinks she’s the bee’s knees”. Needless to say, this comment did much to increase the bad blood between the teams.

This Halloween blood bath of this non contact match resulted in a loss of blood but a gain of confidence as Collingwood flew to a 14-10 victory.

CCNC Captain, Sierah Mansaray, summed up the game with “good shooting, bad captaining. I threw a bit of a hissy fit”; and with her Croydon attitude she swaggered off court parading the score card.
