As a student it can get expensive trying to minimise your environmental footprint. With almost daily articles about how brands are wasting resources, burning unsold stock and contributing to global warming on a ridiculous scale, it’s nice to see that some of our favourite brands are beginning to become more sustainable. Honestly, whether their motivation comes from decreasing production costs in the long run, latching on to potential buzzword money-makers for brand visibility or because they actually want to do the planet some good, I don’t really care. As a fashion addict, anything that makes fashion more environmentally friendly (and make me feel slightly less guilty) is a good thing.
