The Coventry Tab is looking for new writers!

No writing experience is needed

Now that uni is online and clubs are shut, we’re all going to have a bit more free time on our hands. But don’t worry, The Coventry Tab is looking for new writers, meme-makers and social media wizards and we want YOU! No previous journalism experience is needed and you’ll be working with a fun and engaging team producing fun content and news that students care about.

Who we are

The Tab is a student news site with over six million monthly readers. As a student writer, your stories will be shared on The Coventry Tab Facebook and Instagram pages, to all Coventry students and the best articles are shared across all of our pages, and can reach readers all over the country.

We break the biggest stories on campus. We have published articles on students setting fire to their accommodation with an exclusive video. We tracked down the Coventry student posing as ‘Fake Taxi’. We exposed the Coventry University cricket group chat where they rated the girls they’d slept with. And we even interviewed Jason Fox, the face behind popular Coventry nightclub JJ’s.

Many stories originally published on The Tab have made national news including Warwick boys who made rape jokes in their group chat, the Coventry dodgeball team who wore anti-semitic slogans on their white t-shirt social, and the Cambridge student who set fire to a £20 note in front of a homeless man.
