Members will be striking for two days

The strikes are set to take place tomorrow and Wednesday, staff will be on the picket lines outside the university's main entrances on Gosford Street in the morning. Rallies and teach-out activity will also take place outside the Graham Sutherland building from 10am on both days.

UCU members at Coventry University have already been on strike previously for five days last year. The strikes which took place in November overlapped with graduation ceremonies.
Tweets found on the Coventry UCU account say that they have tried to negotiate with Senior Management and were unsuccessful again so they are taking strike action once more.
Why are @coventryucu members back are on strike next week 28-29 Jan? We tried to negotiate with Senior Management but once again they refuse to listen. For them the #RottentotheCore performance pay is working – @covcampus staff get paid less than almost all other universities!

In the recent ballot at the university, 75 per cent of UCU members who voted backed strike action whilst 88 per cent voted for action short of a strike.
