The Botanist is our new favourite addition to the Coventry city centre
Any excuse to try fancy cocktails
It's only been a few days since The Botanist opened their new venue in Coventry and it's already blown us away.
The massive restaurant is the best thing to happen to this city since Kasbah's refurbishment and we're loving it. Located in the new dining quarter (formerly Cathedral Lanes Shopping Centre) between Zizzi and Cosy Club, it engages you in an unique dining experience through its secret garden decor.
Trees, potted plants, even a river, live music, amazing drinks and mouthwatering food – really what isn't there to love?
This isn't your corner shop chippy, student prices do not exist here. Don't expect to find a cheaper drink than £8. But tbh? I don't mind paying a bit extra for a passion fruit and basil cocktail. Gone are the days I was satisfied with a measly Strongbow Dark Fruits.
And if you're a bit of a brick wall when it comes to fancy alcohol, like me, don't worry! The staff will explain all the otherworldly concoctions and craft beers to you, so don't stress about not knowing what to order. With flavours like pomegranate, peach, and pineapple, you're sure to find something that strikes your fancy.
If you haven't been there yet, I don't know what you're waiting for. Get your ass down to The Botanist Coventry today and be taken by this new realm!
