South Wales Police investigating after an alleged sexual assault in Bute Park this weekend

A 27-year-old man has been arrested in relation to the incident


The police are investigating a report that a sexual assault has taken place in Bute Park.

The attack was said to have happened during the early hours of 20th November.

The incident which was reported to South Wales Police at 6am, was said to have taken place by the Millennium Bridge and the police have now cordoned off the area, spanning about 50 metres according to an eyewitness.

Detective Inspector Abi Biddle said: “Detectives have arrested a 27-year-old man in connection with the incident and he remains in police custody. A scene is being held in the park and enquiries are continuing.”
