A woman has been sexually assaulted on the Taff Trail near Blackweir Bridge
Police say they are elevating security in the area
Niladri SinghSouth Wales Police are investigating an early-morning sexual assault of a 32-year-old woman on the Taff Trail.
The assault happened at approximately 6:40am on Wednesday 31st August near the Blackweir Bridge in Pontcanna.
The police are looking for a white man, with a bald or shaved head, in his 40s. He reportedly walked across Pontcanna Fields, towards Cathedral Road after the assault.
South Wales Police said they will elevate the security in the area while they probe deeper into the investigation and to provide reassurance to the public and students of whom many live locally in the Talybont Residences.
