Netflix’s Sex Education is looking for extras from South Wales, and it could be you!

Where do I sign up??

The much anticipated third series of Sex Education is soon to be back filming after production companies have advertised for extras and even a local choir to take part in the programme, which is partly filmed in Gloucestershire and Wales.

Everything about this series has seriously cool vibes, from the wardrobe, diversity, plot, and more. Why wouldn’t you want to do it?

Those who are behind the Netflix series are looking for extras, and a young choir to appear in the show which is filmed in the Wye Valley, Forest of Dean and across South Wales.

The young extras who will be cast are said to be seen in the background as Otis, Maeve and their mates carry on from where they left off in season 2.

Obviously, filming was due to start sooner but was postponed because of the pandemic. The cameras will soon have to start rolling if they want to catch the golden aesthetic in the Wye Valley which was a prominent feature of seasons one and two.

Mad Dog 2020 Casting have been recruiting young extras for weeks and have now put out an appeal for a choir. It also doesn’t matter about the singing style, as long as they can pass for ages 18-25.

“Seeking a real choir for Sex Education series 3,” says the appeal on social media. “Playing ages 18-25. Must be local or able to travel to South Wales.”

The casting agency, ‘Casting Collective’, are also looking for extras aged between 18-25. Details are available on their Facebook page. They say to, “give us your best Sex Ed look and tell your mates too!”

“Take a new selfie and ping it across. We want to see you looking fresh and glossy, geeky and goofy, anything goes – this hit series has it all and you can be part of it!”

Of course I applied, this is a sick opportunity.

The agency encourages anyone from BAME background, applicants with disabilities and members of the LGBTQIA+ community to apply.

This is definitely something I can get on board with.

To apply through Mad Dog 2020 Casting, “choirs or would be extras can contact [email protected] for more details.”
