The ASSL and the Aberconway library, and Taly have lost WiFi in the middle of exam and dissertation season

Shock horror.

Yes, that's right. At peak time in exam season, Cardiff's busiest libraries have no wifi.

Aberconway Library was suddenly closed yesterday due to a sudden 'electrical incident'. Following this, there has been a campus-wide network problem resulting in: no wifi, no printing, no telephone lines and limited work stations.

The following buildings have been affected:

ASSL, Column Road Halls, Casim Stores, John Percival, Julian Hodge, 69 North Road, Optometry and all Talybont sites.

Cardiff University have said that they "are working hard to solve the issue and apologise for any inconvenience caused." The estates team are working on the problem and service should resume soon.

Not exactly ideal when you're trying to get a year's worth of work done in a month.

Updates to follow.
