Tilly, a first year student living in Talybont told The Tab Cardiff: "Police and sniffer dogs were searching our rooms, whilst other officers waited outside."

Matt, also a Talybont resident, said that he saw "lots of security at 11am in Taly North, but they didn't look like the regular ones, and were definitely looking for something."

The reason of their attendence is currently unconfirmed.

We have reached out to South Wales Police for comment.
