Students’ Union evacuates thousands during YOLO

An alleged fire has caused the closure

Tonight at Cardiff University's Students' Union, the weekly event YOLO came to a sudden halt as fire alarms began to sound.

Y Plas night club was at full capacity when the alarms began, resulting in over 2,000 students being evacuated from the building since midnight.

The Tab Cardiff were led to believe that this evacuation was caused by a fire during the nightclub's event.

A member of the security team told The Tab: “It’s a fire, it’s serious, get out now.”

All students have successfully been evacuated from the Student Union and no one has been allowed to re-enter the building since.
