BREAKING: Hollie Cooke elected as Cardiff University’s next SU President

Hollie Cooke has been elected the next President of Cardiff University Students’ Union.

Following a week of hand-painted flags braving Storm Doris and some inventive videos, the results were announced to an expectant Y Plas at 2pm today.

Overall there were 42,085 total votes and 6,851 individual voters, beating 2014’s record of 6,786.

Sophie Timbers, the current SU President, said: “It’s been an extremely tough week. All the candidates have done phenomenally.”
