Cardiff cements its place as a top 200 uni in the world

We ranked 182nd

Cardiff University has been placed 182nd in the world in the Times Higher Education World Rankings, released today.

This means that we stayed the same as last year, beating Newcastle, Reading, Swansea and obviously Cardiff Met.

We continue to impress internationally and our 182nd spot means that we are maintaining a place on the world stage against 980 institutions from 79 different countries.

Cardiff did well to secure it’s place, as this year, many prestigious universities such as Edinburgh and King’s dropped down a couple of places and Durham took a big tumble, falling down the list by 26 places.

The rankings are based on whether the respected universities have maintained their teaching and research standards, as well as their approach on knowledge transfer and international outlook.
