We spoke to the Cardiff grads trying to make your house-hunt less painful

Yeah they used to be in promo

Searching for a place to live whilst at University is very time consuming. There are a million tabs open on your laptop, all different websites with different confusing formats, and you’re trying to find out which one is the perfect place for you and your future housemates. It takes a lot of time, effort and stress to find somewhere worth viewing.

Cardiff boys Jack Jenkins, Daniel Jefferys and Christian Samuel are trying to change that this summer.

Looking dapper fellas

The three directors, two of whom graduated from Cardiff University, are keen to streamline the process of finding student housing, having recently experienced it themselves.

Christian told The Tab: “All of the properties from individual property websites will be all in one place.

“It’ll save students hours in time, rather than having to search every single property website for every single letting agent. They can just go on to University Cribs and all the properties will be collected in one area.

“Instead of being really formal and boring like every other property portal there is, we like to be a little more tongue in cheek and have a bit more fun with it, rather than making the process boring and plain.”

The launch for University Cribs will be in September, but they’re aiming to soft-launch the website in July, starting in Cardiff, Bristol, Swansea, Oxford and Bath, though a national roll out across a number of cities in the UK is planned over the months following the launch.
