Hunky All Blacks spotted training at the uni gym

SBW has got an exceptional rig

New Zealand’s infamous rugby team have been using Cardiff University’s own Strength and Conditioning centre during their stay in Wales for the Rugby World Cup.

This is not the first time the All Blacks have been spotted using the facilities – they used the same gym during the Autumn Internationals last year.

The gym closes during their training times, so unfortunately there are no opportunities for regular gym goers to have a peek.

One staff member said: “they bench so much it’s ridiculous.”

No surprise really.

A Cardiff University spokesperson said this will be their last visit, since no more of their matches will be taking place in Wales.

“They have been here before as have other teams when they have visited Wales, so there is a definite possibility that they’ll be back in the future”.

Ed Lewis, Sports Operations Manager for all Cardiff University facilities, said: “We are always delighted to host international sides and allow them to use our facilities, including New Zealand and other Southern Hemisphere teams.

“The Centre staff have built a really good relationship with the All Blacks conditioning coaches.

“Seeing the likes of Dan Carter, Ma’a Nonu, Sonny Bill Williams and the other All Blacks training in the facility is very exciting for us and for our students.”
