Eduroam went down and we thought the world was going to end

People have travelled as far as Taly North to try and get a signal

This morning Cardiff’s Eduroam WiFi network went down.

Following widespread panic Talybont residents are said to have resorted to drastic measures in order to obtain a decent signal – some going as far as Taly North in order to get their fix of invites to shit celebrity appearances in Glam over the coming months.

Freshers are now faced with the daunting prospect of actually getting to know their flat mates or going outside.

Medic fresher Matthew Lee said: “I’m actually having to resort to books in order to do my work.

“I can’t even watch any YouTube videos in my free time.

“Videos of cats of course. Nothing dodgy.”

Linguist Ellie White said: “Last time I missed the final of Great British Bake-Off.

“The Wifi dropped just as they put their cakes in the oven.”

The avid fondant-fancier described herself as “gutted” when her mum, assuming she’d watched it the day before, accidentally gave her the spoiler that Nadiyah had won.

It’s not clear what the future holds for the residents of Taly South and Taly Court.

With such uncertain internet access, events such as “flat meals” and “seven o’clock prinks” might be on the incline, as the dodgy network continues to collapse at the simplest of requests.
