Cardiff ranked in the top 30 UK unis

Swansea didn’t get inside 350 in the world


Cardiff University has been ranked in the top 200 in this year’s Times Higher Education World University rankings.

We beat Newcastle and Bath to a place in the elite, winning 30th best UK uni.

We came 182nd out of 800 institutions from 70 countries around the world.

Swansea were ranked between 351-400.

Cardiff was placed in the top 200 best universities in the world

The UK as a whole came second, only to the US in terms of the number of world-class universities featured in the top 80.

Obviously, Cardiff was the top university in Wales coming joint place with Queen’s University Belfast at 182nd.

This was the Times’ 12th edition of World University Rankings and the UK as a whole had a smashing 34 institutions in the top 200.
