Lethal Bizzle to perform at Freshers’ Ball
Other acts include Chris Stark and Shohawk Duo
Lethal Bizzle will headline the 2015 Freshers’ Ball.
He will be supported by Chris Stark of Radio 1 infamy, Duke Official, The Cradles and Shohawk Duo.
Other Freshers’ Week events include a Flux foam party and tours of the University grounds.
From shuttle bus trips to and from Ikea to a beach party and a Where’s Wally themed night, it seems as if the SU is providing us with a jam-packed week, full of fun things for Cardiff’s innocent little freshers to do.
Previous years have seen the likes of Professor Green, Zane Lowe and Scouting For Girls take a trip to Cardiff and perform in The Great Hall.
Less successful bookings have included Stooshe and Sam and the Womp.
This year however Cardiff have managed to bag the one and only Lethal Bizzle.
The Union has said he’s the “most prolific, exciting rapper to emerge from the UK underground scene”.
Known for songs ‘Fester Skank’, ‘Rari Workout’ and new single ‘Playground’, the rapper is famous for his dench demeanour.
Elis Williams, a second year studying English Literature, said: “If I’m honest I’m not quite sure who this Lethal Bizzle chap is, assuming it’s one person and not a band, but by the sound of the name it sounds like it may not appeal to everyone.
“Scouting For Girls last year was pretty unanimously anticipated because even the people who don’t like their music felt some nostalgia.”
Emma Lewis, a second year Journalist, said: “I somehow got persuaded into seeing him at Pryzm last year on what was meant to be a girls night out.
“It was actually quite a good set if you don’t mind a bit of sweat and a few shoves here and there.”
Joe D’Auria, who is an English Language and Literature, said: “He’s not what I expected but hey it might be good to bring the Fester Skank to the SU.”
