SAVE CF10! Beloved cafe set to close

It could become a dance studio instead

Hungry revisers have been left heartbroken as CF10 is set to close.

The cafe serves freshly cooked breakfasts and lunch, Monday to Saturday at an affordable price.

The most famous of its delights is the “super mega breakfast” (not for the faint hearted).

The first floor cafe provides a quieter spot to the main food lobby of the SU and is well known for its great atmosphere and friendly staff.

Can’t go wrong with £2 meal deal

Owners Elaine Carr and Vicky Marks told The Tab: “Staff and ourselves are completely devastated, we were headhunted over 10 years ago and were the original food outlet on site, now they are getting rid of us with no thought about our families and mortgages to pay.”

Reasoning behind the closure is to build dance studios for the universities many dance societies.

Loyal customers have turned out in their hundreds signing a petition to stop uni bosses from closing the cafe, asking why the staff and customers should give up their space for dance societies, stating it is ‘selfish and ridiculous.’

Third year Liam said: “Where will I get my hangover cure from? Everyone needs a cooked breakfast.”

Alex said: “The staff are always really pleasant, it’s a really nice place to sit and chat. It’s a shame the university want to close it down.”
