Study finds people in Cardiff are among the world’s most prolific selfie-takers


Forget everything else Cardiff has ever achieved: it can’t get much better than this.

Cardiff has been ranked 26th  for the number of selfies taken by its inhabitants out of 459 cities from all corners of the globe – an achievement for native Cardiffians and students alike.

In an investigation carried out by TIME, it has been found there are 66 selfie-takers in Cardiff for every 100,000 people.

Our beloved city ranks higher than the nation’s capital, with only a measly 32 out of 100,000 Londoners getting their front view cameras out. We’ve also beaten (this is clearly a fierce competition) other UK cities Bristol, Sheffield, Edinburgh, Liverpool and Hull, not to mention 433 others around the world.
