Multiple stabbing in Cathays

Woman and man stabbed in random attack on Crwys Road


Two people have been stabbed in separate incidents on Crwys Road at around 12.45 today.

One victim was a 60-year old woman who has been taken to Cardiff hospital with multiple stab wounds. She was reported to be conscious and breathing at the scene.

The other victim, believed to be a man in his 30s, suffered facial injuries and is said to be in ‘a state of shock’.

Police cars and helicopters have flooded the streets with Tewkesbury Street and Allensbank Road sealed off for forensic examination.

Police are currently waiting for updates on the condition of the female victim and after arresting a man are not looking for anyone else in connection with the stabbings.
