Gay hate Cleric’s visit to Cardiff cancelled

Islamic cleric Mufti Ismail Menk, who deemed gay sex as bad as “rape”, has axed his tour which he claimed would visit Cardiff Uni on 13th November

Islamic cleric Mufti Ismail Menk was set to visit top UK universities such as Oxford, Cardiff and Glasgow, according to a flyer advertised by the Tayyibun Institute. However, on thursday afternoon they announced that this tour was “cancelled until further notice.”

This man said that gays were “filthy” and worse than “dogs and pigs.” He says that despite the secular world being free, all Muslims must abstain from gay sex or they must stop being Muslim.

Openly gay Islam preacher and GSN contributor, Omar Kuddus, rejoiced: “I am so pleased my fellow LGBTI Muslims are being respected and this tour has now been cancelled.”

Apparently the flyer – which has now been taken down – had wrongly listed the universities, as both Oxford and Glasgow were unaware of such an invitation.

A spokesperson for the University of Oxford clarified: “The University of Oxford has not extended an official invitation to Mufti Ismail Menk, and we have so far been unable to confirm even whether such an event is actually scheduled to take place in Oxford.”

He was also set to give a talk later this week in our beloved Park Place.

A spokeswoman for Cardiff University said: “No official invitation was extended by Cardiff University to cleric Mufti Ismail Menk to speak at its premises.

“He will not be speaking at the University.”
